Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

The best gig was the Washington State Fair. Traveling is an absolute blast for us because we get to just hangout as a family in addition to doing what we love to do which is play music and entertain.
The best venue was Cache Creek Casino & Resort. Incredible stage, great sound team with top of the line gear and first class treatment.

What's your favourite type of event?

Festivals are the favorite event. Why? Because if people are willing stand or sit out in the elements to listen to you for 2 or 3 hours without leaving, that they like what you're doing. That's an awesome feeling.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Everyone in the band had many years of experience before we came together. When the band was started, there was a business plan that advised everyone how we were going to proceed. Until the show was flawless top to bottom, to include stage presence, attire and choreography, we were not going to do a show. Because of our patience, we are work corporate, festival, private parties and fairs from May to December.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

James Brown and Otis Redding: The energy from start to finish, the non-stop music, the look of their respective bands, and how tight their shows were. They have a major influence on how I personally perform and how I put this band together. My favorite artist is the late great Al Jarreau. Yes, he's a jazz guy, but his talent was incredible. My favorite song is whatever song I'm performing at that moment.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We typically arrive 90 minutes before sound check, and our performance times are 2 set minimum and 3 set maximum. The configuration of the sets (45 versus 60), is to be determined by us and the client.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Absolutely as long as there is a stage, and in the event of major heat, the stage is covered.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We are flexible on that front. We have a set show, but we can (if time permits) take on request by the client.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients say our shows are engaging, exciting, make them reminisce, and are so filled with energy they can't help but dance.
