Review Centre: Party Bands

"So I get an email about a year ago asking if I would be interested in booking a rather large in numbers (Count them 7) band called One Eyed Cats so I clicked the website link they included and was soon intrigued by these guys who promised not only a night of great music but lots of surprises too so I had to see if they lived up to their promises. Now our stage is not the biggest in the world and when I saw the guys you could tell they had played in all sizes of venues so somehow using some clever logistics they managed to get set up and sound checked very quickly and professionally. Kicking the night off with one kick up of the ass version of Fats Domino's Blue Berry Hill" there was a great feeling in the room that we were in for a great night. These guys play so tight there is no egos when their playing they work as a team and better still a team of obviously great mates . From the boogey Woogie Keyboard skills to the rousing brass section they kept hits coming old standards like Great Balls of Fire to Paul Weller Numbers and a few lesser ones were tested out but as one member of the audience said to me "I don't know this song but they are playing it brilliantly" These guys are definitely ones to catch and we hope to catch them playing at the Hightown very soon"

"I saw this band perform at my friend’s wedding and they were amazing!! They performed the best mix of songs and kept such a great energy going the whole time. It was a really special night and wouldn’t have been the same without them. Will definitely book them for my next event, could not recommend them enough!!"

"As the groom, I got to choose the band. I had heard Lisa and The E-lusion at my now-wife's sorority formal, and knew what my first choice would be. Besides being a genuinely talented band, The-Elusion are accommodating. With their extensive playlist of both traditional wedding reception songs and more recent pop, we were able to say which songs we did not want them to play, while Lisa does a great job of playing whatever the audience is grooving. Also, they were willing to learn entirely new songs for our first dance, the father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance. We received tons of complements about the band from our guests. "Brilliant, really great, amazing, so good, so lovely to have a live band, couldn't have asked for better. We have never had Hifi Driveby before but straight away I knew they would be good. They contacted me straight away by phone and asked what we wanted. I explained and everything I wished for was granted. They called my daughter to ask for her first dance and although they didn't have it on their list they learn it for the wedding and sang it amazingly. They had a great list of good songs that everyone enjoyed and joined in. The last guests didn't want to leave the dance floor and they kindly sang a few more. Highly recommended."
