I love to play intimate parties or house concerts. Whether it is a feature performance that is central to the party or background music, I always have a stronger connection to the people at the party when it is a smaller function.
I have been performing publicly and privately with my own bands since I was 14 years old, primarily in the Tri-State Area. I have led bands that have gone on cruises, performed at Jazz Festivals, and played at special events and galas.
As a jazz saxophonist, John Coltrane is at the top of my Mount Rushmore, but I also adore Quincy Jones and Frank Sinatra for their artistry and their impact on American culture.
If we are bringing all gear, we normally need 30-60 minutes to set up. We either do multiple shorter sets (45-60 minutes) or one longer one (90 minutes). We never play longer than 90 minutes without a break.
I am as long as we are on a flat surface and shade for a sunny day, along with a power supply near the location.
We can learn requested songs but we like to cap that to 3 songs. Anything more would result in a higher fee.
