Anastasiia Revutska Fusion Bellydancer, Tribal dancer

Hello. My name is Anastasiia Revutska. I'm a founder of "Life in Motion Dance Studio", Tribal Bellydance Style dancer (FCBD, ITS style, Fusion) from Kyiv (Ukraine), currently living in Prague (Czech Republic). Here's my dance journey which began when I was around 4 years old. Since then, my whole life was connected to art of dance in Ukraine and abroad.

As for solos - I dance my own choreography. I studied at an art school and attended private lessons in dance, vocal, playing the piano, painting and acting. I started as a dancer from Ukrainian folk choreography + classical ballet basic classes. In the age of 7 years, I switched to sport ballroom dances (6 years participating in performances and competitions). I also trained Pilates, did yoga and other gymnastics, joined the children's dance theater. After my graduation from the art school, I took classes from classical oriental bellydance (1.5 years), flamenco (around 1 year), jazz dances (around 6 months), also was a member of a hip-hop and cotemporary show group (4 years).

Since 2016 I've been dancing Tribal Bellydance as a member of Jah Surya Dance Group with Taisa Jah Surya Gontar as a leader and also as a solo dancer. I dance both: FCBD and fusion. Besides attending classes, rehearsals and performing with girls, I visited classes, workshops, intensives of other teachers when I lived in Kyiv. I also worked as a fusion bellydance teacher for children for 2 years in Ukraine.

Pandemic times of COVID closed the live classes and events, so I trained online and by myself at home. When it ended, I returned to the studio. But because of the full-scale war in Ukraine, I moved to Czech Republic in March 2022 where I’m still living. It changed my life as a dancer too cause I'm far from my dance family and friends. Luckily, I met amazing people there, and was able to come back to dance classes. So, since 2022, I've been visiting classes of Czech dancers: Stania Muzikova and "Black Silver Tribe", Helenka Trnková, Nataly Sagres Tukačová, Bára Mólová and also workshops of Slovakian dancers. So, added the Improvisational Team Synchronization (ITS) (former Improvisational Tribal Style) to my "collection", cause can learn it here and in Vienna.

I traveled to different countries to visit classes and workshops of Doro Altenburger, Michaela Mab Hamajova, Michelle Sorensen, Katarzyna Lidia Weichert, Agata Zakrzewska, Iza Cichowska, Gudrun Herold, Julia Stoiber, Philippa Moirai, Rachael Redfern, Denise Charbó, "Glass Eaters" Duet (Leocadia Lacroix and Abby Fusiondance), Violet Scrap, Elizabeth Medina IndOriental, Leli Neeraja, Lamia Barbara, Kelley Beeston... I also performed on festivals, parties and shows in the countries where come.

Here's some information about tribal bellydance style I dance and events I was with my projects: it is a combination of folk, modern, classical choreography in a proper way to highlight the beautiful movements of each one style. You can recognize vibes of Ukrainian, Indian, Spanish, Middle Eastern and other folk vibes combined with contemporary, hip-top etc. in music and dance. So every performance is unique!

2017

- The Ukrainian cultural exhibition project "Renewed, United, Cathedral, Invincible Ukraine. The role of Ukrainian women in the war" (October 12, 2023, Strasbourg, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, France). I was a special guest dance performer who is under a protection of EU due to the war in Ukraine. I dance contemporary fusion solo about a genocide and the war in Ukraine – “Believe”.

- Tribal Hafla - International Fusion Bellydance Show oraganized by Müstika Stuudio (November, 2023, Tallinn, Estonia):

Dancing is my passion as you could see from the list of shows I took a part in. I want to share my love with you and make an unusual dance program that will definitely entertain. I can give a little dancing workshop for your guests just on the event to make it fun too.
