Antanjula - a young, ambitious and enthusiastic musical duo consisting of Violin and Nyckelharpa.
They bring their own compositions, influenced by folk-, film- and classical music. The Nychelharpa is an old string instrument that used to be played till the Middle Ages in Western Europe. After this period it disappeared and only survived in Sweden. Nowadays it is broadly known as a Swedish folk instrument.
In 2021 they were nominated by Flanders Folk Awards for Most Promissing Band 2021. Later that year they worked together with Robson Ledesma (contemporary dance, PARTS) on the performance Bending Bridges that premiered in Concertgebouw BRUGGE.
Antanjula brings -accoustic or amplified- a set of intimate and compelling music that can fit in a variety of places and events, and they adapt easily in different concepts.
