We have our own PA and full back line.
The exact location of the venue.
type of function it is e.g., wedding, special birthday party, works party, etc?
Who is the organizer?
Who is the contact at the venue if different from the above?
Is there a sound limiter in the venue?
Is there reasonable access for unloading heavy equipment?
Is there a raised stage? if so how high?
Is it an outdoor or indoor function - access to power supply?
What time will the venue be open for the band to set up?
We are self-contained providing our own PA system and full back line. We also have 2 simple lighting rigs.
Yes, we can provide interval music. We generally create a selection, but we are happy to discuss requirements with the client.
We performed at an adoption party where we tailored the sets to meet the client's requirements. We obtained the booking by recommendation.
We enjoy any type of event, however, weddings and special birthdays are favourites as we can work closely with the client, discussing specific requirements, their guests are always ready to party and the atmosphere has a vibrant vibe.
The band has been going/performing for around 6 years. As individuals, we have worked with various bands before auditioning to join
As One Collective. The new lineup gelled quickly and our on-stage chemistry is very evident as we love performing together.
There are so many excellent artists out there, that it's difficult to narrow it down. We love playing Soul music and are influenced by Chaka Khan (Rufus), Anita Baker, Luther Vandross Frankie Beverley and George Benson.
We generally arrive at least 2-4 hours before the performance to set up - depending on access. Our usual performance format is 2 x 45 minutes with the option of a 3rd 45 minute set for extended evenings. We are happy to negotiate shorter or longer sets to suit the client.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade/shelter from the elements, a flat level surface and a safe power supply close to the performance area.
We generally create the set list, however we are happy to learn specific songs, but this would be reflected in the fee as we would need extra rehearsal time. We can tailor a programme from our extensive catalogue.
We have had amazing feedback from audience members and guests such as "They took us right back to the good old days of solid soul, funk and Reggae. Pure nostalgia! " and "Soul classics, floor fillers, chilled vibes, r n b, neo-soul as performed by talented musicians and featuring elegant, soul soaked vocals. What more could you want" and when asked if he enjoyed the evening, "I did, loved the whole set. A brilliant mix of classic soul and big reggae tunes..Not many bands doing the same 👊
We have a large indoor and outdoor performance area that will accommodate 9 - piece band.
