About / Biography

Compact Oompah brass band for all your Oktoberfest needs! Guaranteed to liven up any Bavarian party!

We are a compact 4 piece group of professional musicians from Brighton playing a mixture of traditional Bavarian and German drinking ‘Oktoberfest’ styled tunes and more modern, fun recognisable songs too.

We have played at many festivals, parties and get togethers throughout the South East of England. Dressed in traditional Lederhosen, and adaptable to your specific needs we will be the perfect highlight and talking point to make your party a memorable one.

Expect timeliness and professional attitude with our ‘no hassle’ approach and a light hearted and fun vibe as we play such classics as “Ein-Prosit” “The Donkey Song” “Fürstenfeld”, “Sierra Madre” etc etc. and more recognisable songs like “American Boy” “Hey Baby” and other well known songs. We usually play 2 or 3 sets of music lasting around 40 minutes each, although we are always open to suggestions and work around any specific timing you may have. You’ll find booking us easy and good communications to make things smooth and hassle free.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

We don't require any sound or lighting.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we can provide background music (between our live sets) from a sperate sound system that we can bring if required.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Playing for an international event in the centre of London was a definite highlight for us - playing to around 800 people who were all enjoying the German festivities at the end of a long working weekend was great fun! We roamed around as the steins of lager and traditional German food was passed around to be enjoyed.

What's your favourite type of event?

Private parties, pub theme nights, corporate events.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We have all been playing professionally since our 20's so that's more experience than we care to remember!

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Classics as “Ein-Prosit” “The Donkey Song” “Fürstenfeld”, “Sierra Madre” etc etc. and more recognisable songs like “American Boy” “Hey Baby” and other well known songs.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

Set up - 5 mins, we arrive 30-60 mins beforehand. We usually play 2 X 45 min sets spread over 2 hours but we're happy to extend that to 3 sets / 3 hours when required.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes!

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

You can choose songs from our extensive list, or request special songs we can prepare for you as a bespoke service.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

High energy, engaging, joyful, delightful. NOT TOO LOUD!

Are you guys as loud as the 10 piece band we hired last year?!

No! Although we can crank up the volume when needed, often we play to within a client's request of volume (e.g. restaurants or small spaces, etc).

Do you need a space to change and keep your instrument cases?

Ideally yes, (even a small space) but we can change in the car if needed.
