"Cuban Ballet Laura Alonso".
The second most important classical ballet company in Cuba and one of the most important in Latin America. Founded and directed by the award-winning Grand Maitre Internacional Laura Alonso Martinez, daughter of the "Prima Ballerina Assoluta Alicia Alonso" icon of world dance and Fernando Alonso, father of classical dance in Cuba, both creators of the Cuban School of Ballet and the National Ballet of Cuba.
Our company has been presented throughout these 40 years of being founded in all the theaters and stages of Cuba, carrying out its usual seasons.
▪︎ Internationally it has been presented in:
▪︎ FRANCE:
- In the years 2013 and 2014 he toured several cities in this country presenting a "Function-Concert" with a total of 19 people, including 14 dancers.
▪︎ CHINA:
- Between December 2014 and February 2015, the company carried out the largest tour to this immense country by a Cuban company or artist in its history.
- 38 presentations of the play "El Lago de los Cisnes" were made in a total of 26 cities.
The company for this occasion was made up of 52 people, 44 of them dancers.
▪︎MEXICO:
- It is the country most visited by our company and the international stage where we have made the most presentations in recent years.
- The most significant presentations have been:
-2012 Tamaulipas Festival.
Here we present the play "DRACULA" with a total of 43 people including 35 dancers.
-2017 MAYAN FIC Festival.
In this prestigious festival we present a "Function - Concert" with 19 people, 14 of them dancers.
-2018. Between the months of September and November of that year we made 36 presentations in 26 cities of the play "DRACULA", considered by some experts as the largest tour of a Cuban company to this country.
On this occasion the company was made up of 43 people, 35 of them dancers.
▪︎2019. Between the months of October and November we made a small tour of several cities in Yucatan, southern Mexico, where we presented a "Gala - Concert. On this occasion the company was made up of 31 people, including 24 dancers on stage.
▪︎ THE SAVIOR:
In the month of November 2016 we were invited to participate together with the company from that country in the staging and presentation of the play "Don Quixote".
▪︎ 2020 - 2021 COVID 19.
-Like all countries in this world, we suffered the disaster generated by the deadly pandemic of the COVID 19 virus. Almost three years unemployed, each dancer rehearsing separately at home, but always taking care of ourselves and working to maintain shape, the company did not suffer a single loss and none of its members was infected by this lethal virus.
▪︎ 2022:
- We started our presentations in Cuba little by little and with social distancing.
▪︎ SPAIN:
- Between December 7, 2022 and January 10, 2023 we carried out our first and very successful tour (and I say successful because the public attendance and their applause do not allow me to deceive) through various cities in Spain where we made a total of 21 presentations of the complete works "The Nutcracker", Swan Lake" and "El Corsario".
The Spanish public that filled each theater, applauded each performance to the point of delirium and always waited for our dancers to come out to take their photos with all of them.
■ FORMS OF PRESENTATION OF THE COMPANY.
▪︎ Our company can present itself in different formats depending on the event, interest of the contractor and budgets for production costs.
▪︎ We can present from a dancer, one or two couples, as part of an event or show, to complete functions with different formats such as:
■ 1- "Concert Function". With 20 people, including 14 dancers, this function lasts between 70' and 80' minutes and can be performed completely or divided into two acts of approximately 35' - 40' minutes with an intermission of 5' - 10' minutes between each act.
This "Concert Show" is made up of Pas de deux and Pas de trois from the main classics of the international repertoire. The contracting employer can choose the ballets that will be performed in said function.
- In this format, only two 23 kg packages travel as accompanying production cargo that contains the wardrobe.
■ 2- A second variant would be the "Gala Concert" with a maximum of 33 people, including 27 dancers. This gala lasts between 90 minutes and 100 minutes and is divided into two acts with a 10-minute intermission or intermission.
This "Gala Concert" is composed of a first act where different Pas de deux, Pas de trois and group dances of the main classical and neoclassical international repertoire and Cuban choreographers will be performed. In this first act there will be no set or set elements.
The second act will consist entirely of the execution of a "SUITE" (previously agreed with the contracting party) by all the members of the company. Here in this second act there will be decorations and stage elements.
In this type of format or variant of "Gala Concert" two "Suites" can be performed, one for the first act and another for the second act, for example we can take and perform the "Suite" from the play "Sleeping Beauty in the Forest" for the first act and the "Suite" from the play "The Nutcracker" for the second act.
-The production load in this case ranges between 100 kg and 150 kg.
If two "Suite" were taken, the production load would increase by almost half.
■ The third variant is the complete company presenting one or two works from the international classical repertoire with 42 people, including 35 dancers.
- The production load (costumes, sets, props) is around 250kg - 300kg depending on the work.
If there were two works, the load would increase.

■ ECONOMIC CONDITIONS.
▪︎We are aware of the expense that air tickets represent for our transfer to Europe and consequently we will adjust our economic conditions so that the contracting businessman can recover the investment and in turn obtain profits without setbacks.
