... UNLIKELY CHILDREN OF THE DOLCE ÉPOQUE ...
Yves Montand, Dalida, Gainsbourg, Charles Aznavour, Mina, Joe Dassin, Claude Francois, Brigitte Bardot, Patty Pravo. And even France Gall, Mireille Mathieu, Françoise Hardy. And Edith Piaf. Established admirers of the charming epoque ‘dolce époque’ of the Côte d'Azur, Belle Histoire grew up listening to melodies on side A of the singles played over and over on their parents’ record players. Those songs that accompanied the wonderful years of the second French Belle Epoque and the Italian Dolce Vita. The melodies that relive the fifties and sixties even today.
Belle Histoire began in 2013 with the intention of proposing a repertoire of the great classics of that era performed in pure ‘Riviera’ style. Just like what one would listen to on café juke boxes on the promenade in Nice or Piazza di Spagna, on the Croisette Boulevard in Cannes as well as along the bay of Saint-Tropez or while sipping an aperitif in the Valbonne square or at the Piper in Rome.
Belle Histoire’s artistic research is about style as well as sound: strictly acoustic instruments and the songs which are masterfully interpreted in their original language by Federica Vino, bestow the charming atmosphere of bygone days.

The band Belle Histoire is available for concerts, festivals and music events. It also offers refined and elegant musical accompaniment for meetings, dinners, corporate events, wedding parties. We have a diffusion and amplification sound system suitable for any occasion
We started gigging together in 2013. We have played in Montecarlo, Nizza, Cap D'Antibes, Milano, Roma, Portofino, Brescia, Torino, Como, Varese, Riva del Garda, Vicenza, Cremona, Mantova, Limone Piemonte, Bolzano and many other small towns.
We love french music, but we also play italian and english songs.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 3 x 40 minutes sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 2 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them
Previous customers would describe us as an elegant and rafined group.
