The Big Phat Phunction Band started life seven years ago at the Royal Northern College of Music. Here we would perform Motown and Soul gigs with full four-piece horn section (2 trumpets and 2 saxophones) in line-ups sometimes reaching 12 members!
Since then we have expanded our repertoire to include rock, pop and just about everything else! We draw from dozens of musicians across Manchester and will be able to provide a line-up for any event. Our standard line-up is a 5 piece (drums, bass, guitar, keys and singer), though the bigger options are certainly recommended for that Big Phat sound!
We provide all our own equipment, are willing to travel, and are fully insured. We are also willing to discuss song choices and will learn any first dance request/favourite song. We can also provide a DJ service and will make sure that we liaise with the client regularly leading up to the big day.
