Big Time dueling pianos is a locally owned small business in Kansas City MO that started in 2018 by Frank Delecaris, who is the band leader, drummer and roadie of the group. Since then Big Time Pianos has played most every weekend and many weeknights totaling over 600 shows at private events, theatre shows/event centers, festivals, wineries and bar gigs. There are 10 talented piano players on the Big Time roster including 3 female piano players. Big Time Pianos is available to be hired 7 days/nights a week.
Big Time dueling pianos is an all-request show that is interactive with the audience. We have no set lists, the show is for the most part spontaneous, energetic, fast paced and has a party band vibe. We can play non-stop up to 3 hours. We're a trio, two piano players and a drummer. All of us sing lead and back-up vocals. Drums are included because drums add impact and make songs easier to dance to. Many other dueling piano shows don't include drums and if they do they usually charge extra for drums. We encourage the audience to request songs. We play a wide variety of popular songs from the past 60 years consisting of dance-pop, rock, country, blues, hip-hop and some rap. Yes, we play Freebird and play Taylor Swift songs if requested!
We're available to play at venues in the KC metro area and will travel as far as 300 miles to surrounding areas from Kansas City MO.
Two wall outlets.
Space requirements mainly; how much staging area do we have? Is there a stage, if so, how big is the stage? We need two outlets for power. If we play upstairs at any venue, we will need carts to load our equipment onto and an elevator. If we play outside, we prefer that we have a cover over us.
Yes, I have all the necessary equipment provided to accommodate up to 400 guests.
Yes, DJ recorded background music is provided at no extra charge. We usually plan non-stop but we can be ready to play recorded music at any time during the event.
Too many to mention. We've played quite a few private parties that were fantastic. We've played a few duds also that were a snooze-fest. We like to play at wineries and theatre shows and festivals. Bar gigs are okay.
Private events. Mainly fundraisers or corporate events but we've played quite a few weddings that were great. Wineries are usually good gigs also.
I have over 40 years' experience playing in cover bands and then playing dueling piano shows starting in 2011.
I'm influence by a wide variety of artists from the past 60 years. I like classic rock, 90's rock, 80s glam rock, dance-pop, disco, new and old country, blues, funk, hip-hop and some rap. Van Halen is my favorite rock band. I don't have a favorite, greatest song of all time. Too many to mention that are my favorites.
I usually need two hours before guests arrive to set up the equipment and we usually play for 2 hours or 2.5 hours non-stop for private events. At wineries and bar gigs we play for 3 hours, usually non-stop also.
Yes, but not as happy compared to playing inside. We prefer to be under a cover or in a shaded area if playing outside. If it rains, we would like for there to be an alternate plan in place to play indoors but understand if the event needs to be cancelled. Hopefully we can be rescheduled to play the event for another date.
The clients definitely have a say in what we play because we're an all-request show. We want the client and the guests to request songs they want us to play and be interactive with us.
Fun and energetic!
Many bars and wineries in the KC area and at many hotels and wedding venues or event centers. It's a long list.
