Bilge Günaydın is a Turkish jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and band leader who lives in New York. She continues her master’s study in jazz composition with a full scholarship as a graduate assistant and studies with Bill Charlap, Ed Neumeister, and Pete McGuinness at William Paterson University. Günaydın performed her projects at NYC Composers Now Festival, Istanbul International Jazz Festival, Ankara Jazz Festival, Akbank Jazz Days in Istanbul, Sibiu Jazz Festival in Romania, Siena
Jazz Festival in Italy, etc. Also, Günaydın’s arrangements and compositions for big band instrumentation have been premiered by Istanbul Youth Jazz Orchestra and WPU Orchestra at special festivals and concerts. Bilge Günaydın’s debut album called “Daydreams” in quintet form was released by Turkish Label Ada Music and Japanese Label Inpartmaint digitally and as CD in 2020. All arrangements, compositions, and productions belong to the pianist in this album. Also, her second album called “Sketches of Green” was released by Drom Music based in NYC with a release date of April 22, 2022, to coincide with the celebration of Earth Day. Bilge Günaydın continues her performances in jazz style as a solo pianist and also with her band which is expandable from the trio to the quintet in New York City area.
