Billy Hamilton is a veteran blues/soul/R&B singer-bandleader now based in Detroit (after a few years of modest touring in Europe and a couple down in Austin, TX). His CD, "Pay Some Money" on AMI Records has received significant I-net/FM airplay in the US, as well as in Europe, South America, and Australia. The title tune is now at #1 on the Top 200 at Hugs at WRGG. Another tune from the album, Hamilton's version of "Fever" is in rotation in Detroit on WRCJ's "Maxology" with Maxine Michaels.
The 2019 CD "Merseyside Rebecca" has also received international airplay. It includes Billy Hamilton's version of Bobby Hebb's "Sunny," which is also in rotation on WRCJ-FM/Detroit. Although the CDs consist primarily of original tunes, the band does mostly covers in live shows, which have proven successful with audiences in both the US and Europe. (For festivals and concert settings, they play a few more originals from current and past CDs.)
Billy Hamilton plays with a four/five-piece band that does funky blues/60s soul/old-school R&B, along with some jazz, oldies, and classic country--all very danceable entertaining music. They guarantee a professional, entertaining, and dynamic show every time, and they always play at a reasonable volume.
