I have been singing at weddings and corporate events throughout the years including assisted living centers. This is the first time that I'm putting myself out there to accept more gig opportunities.
Most of my covers come from the 50's, 60's, and 70's with hits from other decades sprinkled in. Toe tappers from Frank Sinatra, Elvis, and Neil Diamond, the Beatles and the Everly Brothers, and more!
I need a performance space of at least 8 ft x 5 ft. and I require 1 power socket and a parking space
I would need to know any directions that will help me find the venue and find the right place to load in equipment. I'd also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Yes, I'm completely self-contained. I bring my own PA system to all of my gigs
Yes, I'm happy to play music from Spotify before, after, and between my sets. I'm also happy to choose the music myself or let the client choose the music.
I don't. I know that some entertainers will give a rate of $500- $800 and up. Unless I'm offered that upfront (I ain't dumb) then the price is a straight $150 per hour. It's the same work and the type of music regardless of how much I'm getting paid.
Thank you for asking. The additional 10% is for this awesome site, GIG Heaven. They need something to host my mug-shot pictures and loud music!
Probably the best place was at the State Capitol building in Pierre, South Dakota for Christmas.
I have to say my true love is performing for those at the assisted living homes. Alzheimer's can take away memories but not music.
I have been singing all my life from a young age. My background includes performing in Las Vegas as an MC to some of the shows on the strip and then went into television where I had my morning show on an NBC affiliate. I've also had my radio show and currently do acting as a side gig.
It would have to be Elvis and Neil Diamond. These are always big hits with guests and inspires them to sing along.
I'm not. Although I love it here in SoCal, I'm originally from Littleton, Colorado.
Ooooh, nice. Well, I was a Police Officer for 5 years. I followed in my Dad's footsteps. He was a cop in Littleton, Colorado for 30 years. Otherwise, the many opportunities I've had to work with the Special Olympics. That's the winner, right there.
I like to arrive at least an hour early to the event however set up and take down take less than 10 minutes. I normally perform 45-minute sets with a 15-minute break in between. I'm happy to play background music in between sets as well.
I absolutely can perform outside but I do ask for a shaded spot and a flat level surface.
I do have a set list that I find works best for my audiences however I'm happy to take requests as well.
Previous clients would say that it is uplifting and as engaged as you want it to be. I can do a low volume background music and turn it up a bit to get folks tapping their feet, dancing and singing along.
