I wish I could tell you all some whimsical tale behind my name pronounced Mil-kay-yah. As it is normally the very first question I get asked. I don’t mind it has prevented me from being shy my whole life. A ready-made icebreaker for any occasion. Unfortunately, I can not tell you a mystical tale of how it dates back to the Crab or Tainos Indians from the Dominican Republic or that means goddess of all things light and fair. I have no intriguing tale to tell, it’s all a bit dull really. According to my birth mother, my name was simply made up over a few late-night drinks.

I am however grateful for my unusual name, it has been the backbone of my confidence and outgoing personality. It may appear strange to give so much strength to a name, but my unique made-up name is what makes me, me I suppose. I was born in the Dominican Republic but Scotland has always been my home. I am lucky enough to be a unique blend of the best of both heritages.

Anyway enough about me, this is about you and what I can offer you. I am willing to travel anywhere throughout the UK for a celebration, whether that be a very special naming day, a vow renewal, a non-legal wedding, or the celebration of a life well lived. I offer a ceremonies that are truly unique and all about you. I am here to be your voice and share your story without compromises.
