We need a performance space of at least 6 meters x 4 meters. We require 3 parking spaces
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
Absolutely, we provide a detailed technical rider for every performance. It includes all the necessary equipment specifications, stage setup, and sound requirements to ensure the best possible performance. Our rider covers everything from the type of sound system and microphones we need, to our monitoring preferences and the layout of our instruments on stage. We also list lighting requirements and any additional equipment like DI boxes or stands. We work closely with each venue to make sure everything is in place for a seamless and professional performance.
Our best gig was undoubtedly at a major music festival in Madrid, where we had the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of people. The energy from the crowd was electric, and the vibe was incredible as we mixed both Latin rhythms and international hits. It was one of those performances where everything just clicked—the sound, the lighting, and the connection with the audience. We could feel that we were taking our fusion of Latin and global music to another level, and the audience was fully with us.
As for the best venue we’ve worked at, it would have to be Palau Sant Jordi. It’s a world-class space known for its amazing acoustics and vibrant atmosphere. The venue allowed us to really showcase the depth of our sound, from the rich Latin beats to the intricate guitar solos on some of the rock and soul covers we do. Performing there felt like a milestone, and it reinforced that our music resonates with a wide range of listeners.
We love playing at all sorts of events but weddings are our favourite! The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them dancing.
Calle Habana Band started as a group of professionally trained musicians who met while studying at some of the most prestigious conservatories in Havana. With a strong foundation in classical music and formal training, we shared a passion for blending Latin rhythms with international genres like pop, rock, and soul.
What began as informal jam sessions soon evolved into something more serious when we started receiving requests to perform at local venues.
Our first gig was at a small local festival, and the response from the crowd encouraged us to continue developing our unique fusion of music.
Over time, we’ve expanded our repertoire to include salsa, reggaetón, bachata, and more, while performing globally recognized hits in both English and Spanish.
From private parties to larger events, our journey has been about combining our classical training with our love for both Latin and international sounds, creating a dynamic and versatile live experience.
Celia Cruz: His iconic salsa music have always been a crowd favourite, and we love incorporating hits like Carnaval and La negra tiene Tumbao into our sets
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We can learn specific song before the event but we usually limit this to 1 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them
Previous customers would describe us as a high energy group that loves to get the audience on their feet dancing.
