Looking for a wedding band in the West Midlands?
You can hire the best West Midlands wedding band right here - Candy and the Sound.
If you're looking for a premium live wedding band in the West Midlands, you've landed on the right site.
As the premiere West Midlands Wedding Band in the region, we guarantee to make your wedding reception truly memorable (for all the right reasons).
We've got a range of options, themes and styles to choose from, so if you're after a West Midlands wedding band to play rousing rock from the noughties, an evening of 80's bangers or 90's indie, Soul and Motown, Disco and Funk, a mixture of everything, or a simple acoustic duo for the wedding breakfast, we can provide an evening or afternoon of fantastic live entertainment for you and your wedding guests.
But we don't just play at weddings in the West Midlands. Although we are the no.1 wedding band in the region, we have loads of other options. Our acoustic duo can fit into small spaces, but uses discreet digital instruments to fill out the sound. And our Disco theme sees the band dressing in the style of the 70's with afro's and flares.
We know that it's your party and we offer a wide range of songs from the 1950's to current chart material for your wedding, party, corporate function or celebration. Hire the band for an outdoor performance in your garden, or for an afternoon party. And we can provide a fantastic DJ who's played internationally to keep the party going after we've finished for the evening.
We've provided live music all over the UK for hundreds of people, and you can be confident that our experience means you'll get the highest level of quality when we play.

Yes, we have a best in class portable PA system, and LED lighting, all designed to take up the minimum space whilst providing the best performance.
Yes, we're happy to work with the client to play whatever tracks are requested through Spotify or to work with a DJ
Whilst we've played for the BBC and Channel 4, our best gig was for the Royal College of Paediatricians, and we played at the iconic Birmingham town hall.
We love them all, but we're like weddings the most because the guests are always ready to dance!
We're all seasoned musicians and have been playing since we were in our teens. The band got together in 2009 and we've played at about 30 events every year since then, with the exception of the COVID years.
We all have different tastes. Candy, our singer, seems to know the words to every song in the world and can often be enticed to sing an unaccompanied version of a song of the band don't know it. James, the drummer, loves Tina Turner, while Scott on guitar particularly enjoys guitar music like The Killers, Oasis or Guns and Roses. Pete, on bass, just loves playing anything which is just as well as no one ever asks for songs by his all time favourite band! (Mott the Hoople).
We are a 4 piece, although we have a duo option as well
Yes! We don't use dep players like other bands. The band you see on the videos is the band you'll get unless we have a permanent line up change.
The singer will ALWAYS be Candy.
About an hour and a half to setup with lights and fulll PA, including soundcheck
Performance times from 2*45 minute sets up to 3*1 hour sets
Yes, as long as the power supply is safe and we know in advance so we can bring appropriate clothing. If we get wet, we'll have to stop playing because it's too dangerous to continue.
Bit of both really. We know what songs work with an audience and which ones don't. But we have a large curated collection of tracks we can play and we encourage the audience to tell us what they'd like through our unique Jukebox Band service where they select the tracks for the second set while we play the first one Get in touch and we'll explain (if this doesn't make sense)
We've consistently had 5 star reviews from everyone for the past 15 years. We're also particularly thanked for our efforts to communicate with clients and for our efficiency in setting up and breaking down the stage area quickly.
