The Big Moose Ceilidh Band are from the East Midlands and have years experience playing weddings and events across the East Midlands and beyond. We play traditional songs that people dance to with the help from our caller. The caller will teach each dance so when the band strikes up you'll be ready and raring to go.
Between the four of us we can adjust our line up and set list for any occasion and to suit most budgets. A bespoke entertainment package for your parting needs.
A ceilidh (pronounced Kay-Lea btw) is a traditional Scottish get together featuring music and dancing.. not dodgy disco dancing or 'dancing around your handbag' dancing, the dances have set moves. Not to worry though, they're dead easy and our wonderful caller Schuggie will guide you through each dance. No experience needed and a few mistakes here and there are all part of the fun!
Ceilidhs are a great way for people of all ages, shapes and sizes to dance and have a great time together. Due to the nature of the dances partners are swapped regularly so its a great way for complete strangers to get to know each other!
