The multifaceted musical force Charlie Arbelaez was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL, at age 5. He began playing Alto Saxophone at age 10 for the band in middle school, and by age 13 was playing every Sunday at church. It was at this young age that he fell in love with playing his saxophone and performing. While growing up in South Florida, Charlie shared the stage with many notable local jazz artists, including: Arturo Sandoval, Ira Sullivan, and Nestor Torres.
I have been influenced by all of the greatest artists and I do not have a favorite.
