Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

We need parking for 3 vehicles close to the load in door or space to load in and park elsewhere. We will also need multiple power spots, minimum of 3 sockets. The performance space must be large enough to fit 3 (if hiring trio) or 6 (if hiring full band) plus gear. A storage area for gear would be helpful.

What information do you require about a venue?

We need address, special load in instructions, what time we are able to load into the venue, and any other scheduling times (sound check, dinner, etc).

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

We have a small PA system that requires a couple of power outlets. We have a couple of small lights but they only fill a small space.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

We are more than happy to play a Spotify playlist of the client’s or our choosing before and during sets.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

The best gig we’ve ever done was playing at Boulevardia at Crown Center Kansas City summer 2024.
One of our other Gratefuk Dead tribute bands has played at Grateful Dead Night at the K for the Royals baseball game the last sever years, and that has been very exciting as well.

What's your favourite type of event?

We love playing at all types of events!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

The Grateful Dead is our biggest influence.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

If we are providing the PA, we need minimum 2 hours to load in and set up. If PA is provided and set up for us, we need minimum 1 hour load in and set up time.
Sets typically run 1-1/2 hrs. If playing a 3 hour gig, we will play 2 sets with a 10-20 min intermission. If playing a 4 hour gig, we will do 3 sets with two intermissions. We typically have more music ready to play than we have time, so sometimes we go a little over to finish the set.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We will play outside. Covered and flat is preferred, with an accessible path to load in gear. We also require power.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We are more than happy to accommodate requests and can discuss further upon hiring.
We play mostly Grateful Dead and classic rock, but know a wide variety of genres and styles.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

We are a fun dance group with energy, beautiful full harmonies, seamless transitions between songs, and original mashups of Grateful Dead and classic rock artists.
