David Warren Langley
Beginning Piano lessons at the age of 7, David persued music diligently. After attending music schools and private tuition he obtained his Grade 8 ABRSM classical piano certificate at the age of 16. David worked on his music and achieved the following accolades in music:
Diploma in Jazz and Popular music, UKZN 2011
BPracMus Honors, UKZN 2014
Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Mancosa 2022
David's style of music is jazz infused with classical and popular elements. His style is fluidity of the hand and wrist. David can transform any style of music and redevelop new ideas each time into the most harmonic aural experience. He is a master of improvisation and can listen to a song for just 30seconds and will be able to play it.
David has released 5 studio recordings under his pseudo name, davdthepianist. A creole alter ego magician on the piano. David runs his own Jazz trio and they are call, The Modern Jazz Trio. The band takes all music popular today and rearrange it into pop, soul, funk, reggae and various styles not native to the original sound.

David is a seasoned performer in all genres. He is notable for his abilities as a jazz pianist. He is working towards completing his Master’s degree in Performance/Music Therapy and later PhD in the God frequency. David has written and recorded various singles and 5 albums/ep's which can be found on all social platforms. David is is an author of the book Pianotailor Book One which educates learners in a self-understanding way to learn the piano .
