DaveG Drums Professional self contained drummer

Hello my name is Dave and I’m a professional drummer based in the North East of the UK.
I have been playing drums professionally from leaving school (30 years)

I am mainly self taught, but have also been taught at a youth jazz orchestra drum school in my early days.
Ive been in cover bands from the age of 11, with my brothers to where as when I left school we had the opportunity to live and work in Tenerife, this was at a bar in Las Américas playing seven nights a week, I did this for 8 years during the 90’s.

In 1999 I then had the opportunity to start a Beatles tribute band back in the UK to which I studied to get my part as close as.

Through its 20 odd years doing a tribute band, it became quite successful with work which included theatre tours, work abroad and cruises.

Although I’ve been involved with covering the beatles for numerous years, I also enjoy working with other musicians in other band projects and gigs as and when I can, as playing a part of someone else also becomes a bit monotonous!!!

I’ve recently become endorsed by a cymbal and drumstick company, to where I also now go into studio and make promo videos for them, this has also given me the opportunity to do a bit of session work to where I’ve put down drum tracks on peoples songs they’ve sent me.

I love playing different styles, and I can work with click. I’m not happy unless I’m on stage performing…. I also love meeting and working with different musicians as I feel there’s always something new to learn. I’m professionally minded, easy to get on with and I give my 100%..

Im that dedicated to performing/playing, I even arranged to play my own wedding evening as seen on video 3!!
