About / Biography

Ladies Balakai is a musical duo born from the unexpected yet perfect encounter between Fiona Mclaughlin, an English flutist, and Déborah Colucci, a French harpist. It all started simply: Fiona, fresh from across the Channel, found Déborah online, invited her for tea and cake, and the chemistry was instant. From this spark emerged a unique musical universe where neo-classical influences meet the enchanting rhythms of the Balkans, creating vibrant and deeply original compositions.

Ladies Balakai are available throughout France, as well as abroad. We will be performing in the 2025 Gothenburg Fringe Festival, as well as Tunisia.

Our duo is unique and especially suited to those who seek an intimate and special atmosphere. We guarantee our music will be loved by young and old, with moments that both smooth the soul and fill you with energy.
