Did you know that in England, only the declaratory and contracting words must be spoken in a registration office or licensed venue for your marriage to be legally recognised. These legal requirements for marriage are very short and simple and can cost very little (e.g. approximately £68 with 2 witnesses at a local register office – often known as 2+2). Instead of the registrar coming to you, you can go to them and have the brief legal section of your marriage carried out separately (often a day or so before your ceremony). The possibilities for your Wedding Ceremony then suddenly open up. Your ceremony will be bespoke, the venue doesn’t need to have a license and you’re not constrained by wording or framework.
