A: Every gig has been amazing in its own way, and it’s hard to pick just one! Each venue has its unique charm and energy, whether it’s a cozy, intimate space where I can connect closely with the audience or a larger stage with an electrifying crowd. What makes a gig special for me is seeing the audience respond to the music, creating unforgettable moments that stay with me long after the show.
My favorite events are those where guests are truly immersed in the moment and ready to have a fantastic time. I love performing at weddings and special celebrations, where each song becomes part of a memorable milestone. There’s nothing like seeing a crowd come together to sing along, dance, and celebrate in a lively, joyful atmosphere. Bringing that special spark to events that mean so much to people is what makes these performances my absolute favourite.
I started my career as a DJ, where I learned the art of reading a crowd and creating a memorable atmosphere through music. Over time, my love for performing grew, and I transitioned into live singing, adding a personal touch to my shows that audiences really connected with. My background as a DJ gave me a strong foundation in event dynamics, which I now bring to every performance as a solo singer. With each gig, whether as a DJ or singer, I’ve gained valuable experience and built a reputation for delivering an engaging, professional performance.
My musical influences are a blend of iconic voices and unforgettable sounds that span genres and eras. I’m inspired by the legendary storytelling of Loretta Lynn, the energy and charisma of Elvis, and the soulful edge of Miranda Lambert. Queen’s powerful rock anthems, alongside the raw emotion of Pink and Alanis Morissette, have shaped my approach to performance. I also love the unique, relatable lyrics of The Beautiful South. These artists have each brought something special to my style, and I aim to channel their spirit into every performance.
I normally arrive 1 hour before the performance to set up and I normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 3 x 30 minutes . I am Happy perform a little shorter or longer, but find these times suit most audiences.
I'm happy to perform outside but ask for a level surface and a power supply near by.
I am happy to learn a couple of songs before the event that are not in my repertoire, and clients are welcome to choose songs from my repertoire for the set list or I can choose the music for them.
