Yes, I am happy to play music from Spotify during the dinner. Clients are very welcome to send their separate playlists for each part of the evening.
The best gig ever was in a garage of Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel, for international games industry conference.
I played for them for 5 consecutive years. A few hundreds of gamers from all around the world attended, and it was a blast every time!
I like all types of events as long as the crowd is wild on the dance floor. :)
During my childhood, I went to musical school for 5 years. Played piano. And sang in a choir.
In 2006. I formed a pop rock band. I played drums (self taught) and was a backing vocalist.
In 2010. I started DJ-ing in a few local clubs. At first it was for fun and hobby. And when I started receiving enquiries for events and weddings a few years later, it became my full time job.
I like everything. Literally.
From The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, over The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers, all the way to Dua Lipa and The Weeknd.
I listen to the music on a daily basis and never stop exploring. I attend live concerts frequently and it is my true passion.
The most common timeline for the wedding reception:
5 PM: Setup (45 minutes),
6 PM: Welcome drink (1 hour)
7 PM: Dinner (2 hours)
9 PM: Party (3 hours)
Timeline depends on the client, the planner and the venue. Initial offer covers 6 hours of music (welcome drink, dinner and party).
Extra hours or equipment setup are paid additionally.
DJ set is prepared according to the client's preferences. Feel free to ask for previous experience and suggestions.
Upon booking confirmation, a DJ questionnaire will be sent for details.
Of course. As long as the weather allows. :)
The clients are more than welcome to send me their Spotify playlists, and to highlight DO-NOT-PLAY artists, songs or genres.
They usually say I can read the crowd.
We have an initial video call to meet each other and I send a DJ questionnaire to the couple to find out all the details about their big day. Then I prepare the music according to their preferences. I usually start with some older stuff (Rockabilly, Motown, Oldies) to keep older people on the floor as long as possible. And then I switch to a little bit of r'n'b/pop/rock of the '90s and early 2000's. And I save some house / EDM bangers for the final hour.
But I must emphasise that every event/wedding is unique and there is no such thing as a perfect playlist.
Every event and DJ set is different and is created according to the client's preferences and instructions.
