Ed Arnold - Professional Scottish Bagpiper Solo bagpiper

Ed has been playing the Great Highland Bagpipe for over 25 years and has performed at countless Weddings, Parties, Funerals, Burns Suppers, Hogmanay Events and many other occasions. He’s appeared on ITV’s ‘The Dales’ and ‘The Lakes’ and played at a number of high profile events including the IIFA Awards 2007 at Sheffield Arena. Ed is the official bagpipe tutor at the Army Foundation College in Harrogate and has been teaching there since 2010 as well as teaching privately at home . He competed for 5 years with Manchester Phoenix Pipe Band (All England Champions 2016 & 2018) at major competitions including the British, Scottish and World Championships. Ed now concentrates on his solo piping career and also plays with a celtic rock band called Gaelforce.

Ed has been fortunate enough to perform all over the UK and internationally including several repeat bookings for Annelli and Steven Marshall (Steve Gerrard's manager) at their private villa in Ibiza, a wedding in Croatia and also Slovenia as well as public events in Germany. In 2025 Ed will perform with his band Gaelforce at Costa Festival in Ibiza.

Ed's repertoire consists of traditional and contemporary Scottish and Irish music. He can perform in Scottish / Irish formal dress or full highland regimental dress (feather bonnet, tunic, shoulder plaid, horsehair sporran, etc). Ed generally performs solo but can easily arrange a duo or mini pipe band.
