Initially a classical trained mezzo soprano, Esta soon found her passion was for jazz. At the beginning of her career, she worked as an impressionist on the popular comedy television show 'Who Do You Do?' for Central Television, also working as a voice over artist, for Music To Pictures, for various animation projects. Her extensive singing career includes working with a host of jazz legends, including The Colin Purbrook Trio, Brian Lemon Trio, Lol Coxhill, Alec Dankworth, Bill Le Sage and supporting Benny Waters. She received much acclaim for her warm vocals and the energy she brought to her performances, at “Pizza On The Park,” “Pizza Express Dean Street,” “The Soho Jazz Festival,” and various private functions and other London Jazz venues over many years.
The Esta Rae Duo
The Esta Rae duo formed in the Summer of 2016 through a mutual friend, who described their first recording as "smashing". The CD is available on ITunes and Spotify and has been played on the Jazz radio station “Jazz Bites.”
Since then; the duo have performed extensively giving concerts alongside some of the jazz world's leading figures, including Grammy nominee Howard Alden (Sweet And Lowdown) and 'Gypsy Jazz Guitar Secrets' writer and performer, Tim Robinson.

We require space for up to five musicians if it’s the full band performing and two parking spaces
Is there a PA system with monitors. Is there a place near the venue to load equipment. Is there a keyboard in excellent condition already there or do we need to bring one.
We can provide some sound equipment, but no lighting equipment.
We are happy to play music between sets from either Spotify, or use the clients music.

We play all sorts of events. Our favourites are festivals and jazz clubs.
I started gigging over 20 years ago. I’ve performed at many festivals and jazz clubs with different musicians and line ups.
Nancy Wilson, Shirley Horn, so many wonderful female jazz artists and too many fabulous songs to choose from!
We arrive 1-2 hours beforehand to set up. We play 2 X 45 minute sets or 1 X 90 minute set. All of our work is contractual with the conditions agreed in writing.
We would play outside, but there has to be a level surface or stage, a shade for sun or some kind of shade/roof cover if it rains we would also need a safe for outdoor power supply.
We have our sets that we play, however some requests would be considered but would need to be sent to us in advance.
