Based out of Kingston, Ontario, Canada Euro Café Duo features Andrea as vocalist accompanied by Edward on the versatile digital piano accordion. Their repertoire includes European music from the Parisienne and Italian genres, as well as many pieces from Broadway, Latin, the Romantic genre, Jazz Standards and the easy listening genres. You will often find them busking on the streets of their hometown Kingston in the warmer months. Regulars at several Kingston and Area venues, they are popular with young and old audiences alike. The duo provides all its own wireless audio equipment and adjusts playing to suit any environment including theme nights (e.g. Parisienne Café-Italian Bistro), private and corporate events.

It was a pleasure to have Euro Cafe Duo perform at the Discover L&A Ride. The music perfectly complemented the atmosphere we were hoping to create, and the 400+ cyclists enjoyed the music as they prepared for the ride. We will happily consider Euro Cafe Duo for future county-led events.

80th Birthday Party
Euro Café Duo were invited to entertain guests at my 80th birthday event held at the beautiful Rockport Barn venue at Rockport, Ontario on June 8, 2024. I had asked for a blend of nostalgic easy-listening and European/Parisian music as social-background and then more watchable treatments. Andrea and Edward delightfully exceeded my expectation. Our mixed age gathering thoroughly enjoyed the music and the duo’s showmanship. My wife and I loved dancing to some of our requests such as, La Vie en rose and As Time Goes By. Thank you, Andrea and Ted, for adding such a magical touch to my special day.

Wedding Cocktail Hour
I invited Ted to play “Italian Bistro/ French Café” music during the cocktail hour of our wedding. His playing made the atmosphere very magical and jovial. It was exactly what I was hoping for and would recommend him highly. His playing and set list really added to the party without his sound overpowering. Parisienne Café Ambiance!
As we hosted a concert in January 2023, with a special tribute to the famous 1950s French singer Edith Piaf, we wanted to recreate a unique 1950s Parisian café atmosphere in the hall and we called upon Euro Café Duo to animate this one-time café. Our audience was delighted by their music, and we spent a wonderful evening to which they greatly contributed. We thank them for both their talent and professionalism and wish them every success.

My wife and I played tourists in Kingston today and dinned and shopped at some of our favourite spots and also discovered some new ones. I play a Roland digital accordion. In addition to the usual accordion sounds there are over 200 other orchestral and drum sounds that I add in to our songs, such as violin, flute, cello and saxophone. Think of it like a digital keyboard but it play just alike an acoustic accordion. This enables variety and nuance to every song, enabling a variety of performance styles from Oktoberfest to Jazz and Classical. The bellow add expression just like a regular accordion and it runs on 10 AA batteries!
We use a Bose S1 Pro. Reliable with an excellent sound array often unlike many other systems.

We have been playing and performing for 10 years. We started by busking in our local tourist city and 'graduated' to all kinds of venues. Our first regular venue was Musiikki Whiskey bar where we performed weekly for over two years, before the pandemic came. During the pandemic we did a number of live streaming concerts.
Edith Piaf and Marguerite Monnot have been a great influence and are responsible for our French 'flavour'. Peple often comment that they feel transported to a French Café by our music.

20-30 mins to set up and we usually perform anywhere from 2-3 45 min. sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
Yes if its dry and/or we have cover and the temperature is above 12 degrees Celsius and we ask for shade, and a flat level firm surface

Generally not. I play sitting for the most part.
Theoretically we will go anywhere in the world to play if reasonable, negotiated fees and expenses are paid and we are available! One day gigs are generally restricted to within 400 km return trips. This also depends on the time of the gig.
