I provide my own PA and sound system. I don't provide my own lighting equipment.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

I've performed as a singer and saxophonist at Cardiff University Y Plas Night Club 3 times. I have also played regulars gigs as a saxophonist in Philharmonic in Cardiff.

What's your favourite type of event?

I love playing small gigs where the audience gets involved dancing and singing along. I also really enjoy pubs and small stage venues where you can really interact with the audience!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I've been gigging regularly for 4 years, starting at university and then branching out to professional venues and events. I've played across England and Wales but would love to go international given the opportunity.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I love soul and blues. Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and modern jazz artists too. I also love to cover BIlly Joel, Stevie Wonder, Lake Street Dive, Dolly Parton and other artists of the 80s and 90s.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I normally arrive an hour and a half before the gig to set up and sound check. I normally perform 2 or 3 x 45 minute sets with a 15 minute break in between. I'm happy to alter these timings to suit the client and event.

Are you happy to perform outside?

I'm happy to play outside but ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from my repertoire or I can choose the music for them.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients have described my performances as chilled, easy listening that builds up to energetic sing-alongs for everyone to enjoy. Many people have said they've never seen my kind of performance with the sax and vocal fusion and genre.
