Made up of seven professional musicians with a wealth of big name experience, our band members pride themselves on the quality of each and every performance.
Our broad repertoire spans from Bruno Mars to Chaka Khan and from Wheatus to S Club 7. Flat Cap Brass play in a wide variety of different styles but the one thing we can promise is that all of our music is recreated in a bold brass sound. Our professional arranger can create a bespoke pop brass version of your chosen first dance or perform at the start of our set as a roaming band to make a statement from the first note we play!
Recent highlights for Flat Cap Brass include opening the main stage at Kendal Calling festival performing their version of ‘Brassic Park’, getting one of Liverpool Sound City festival’s biggest singalongs to ‘Angels’ by Robbie Williams, and representing the UK at the Haizetara street music festival near Bilbao. We’ve also performed for countless amazing weddings and a variety of corporate clients, including Welcome to Yorkshire, Meadowhall Shopping Centre, UA92 along with Cartmel, Beverley, York and Wetherby races. We were excited to play at the Yeadon and Huddersfield Christmas light switch on ceremonies.
We also perform for Oktoberfest brass band functions; in 2021, we were booked for consecutive sold out weekends in Yeadon to both play music and lead the Oktoberfest festivities.
You can also catch us performing in bars – most recently, our performances have included Salt Beer Factory in Shipley and PLY and Wilsons Social in Manchester city centre. Some of our most recent, repeated and favourite gigs have been over at Nation of Shopkeepers and The Hop in Leeds, and we have an ongoing residency (courtesy of our flat caps) at the brilliant and amazing Peaky Blinders bar in Manchester; keep an eye on our social media to find out when we’re playing there.
Don’t just take it from us – head over to our Testimonials page to find out about what our most recent bookings said after we played for them!
