Flamencodanza Show Contemporary Flamenco show with dance, guitar and percussion

A performance space 4m x 4m minimum, a stage apt for percussive dances. We can provide mics and amplification for guitar on request.

Company can bring amplification if necessary, only needing access to the venue´s PA system and basic lighting.

We're happy to play music from Spotify, either choosing it or let the client choose the music.

Normally any wood surface is apt for percussive dances, even a simple plywood board with a rug underneath to create a hollow for a better sound can provide a good sound for the show. We can provide a floor mic for dancing that can be connected to the venue´s PA system. Depending on the location we might be able to provide a dance floor. Linoleum or marley are also ok given that we can provide a floormic.

From over 300 Flamencodanza shows, I would select 33 Florence Dance festival Italy, an outdoor performance at the Chiostro Santa Maria, the Avignon Off festival in France, as well as several shows in the US and Australia including Melbourne Moving Parts Dance festival, Chicago, NYC, Hollywood and Florida.

A small black box theatre or live music venue, where people enjoy listening and watching the show, also special venues like an artgallery, a boathouse etc.

I started performing while studying Flamenco dance in Madrid, by performing at tablaos flamencos with traditional flamenco shows, and Flamenco Rock-jazz fusion shows in theatres. Since creating my show Flamencodanza, I've performed over 300 shows around the world, mostly in small theatres and live music venues.

We normally arrive a few hours before the show to set up and do a sound check, and perform 1x 45 minutes, however we're happy to perform a bit longer or shorter.

The show is more contemporary in several aspects, including modern and elegant flamenco style costumes. The footwork and percussion adds rhythm and energy to the show instead of castanets. The show has a good technical level, distancing from what we know as the typically Spanish elements while keeping it Flamenco.
