Hi! I'm Florine, a professional international saxophonist playing the sax on weddings, company events and private parties. My style is versatile; ranging from lounge, soulful techno to disco.
My clients have told me that I bring ‘that something extra’ to their event that made an unforgettable experience on their guests. When a band is too much, but they want to have someone bringing enthusiasm, a spark and great live music - they go for me!
Originally I'm from Amsterdam and I have played a long time in the band the Hermes House Band, but changed to playing individually along with a DJ in 2013, so I play along with a DJ for over 10 years! In Amsterdam I'm the regular saxophonist at a few event locations and I do many weddings. Since January I have moved to Barcelona and now keen to start playing here. So although I don't have any reviews on this site yet, I'm very well experienced ;)
The setup is easy; I can simply plug in with my mic and play along with any DJ or provide my own music via a pre-recorded mixtape. I always make sure to be in touch with the DJ before and align music with you and him/her.

I need two power sockets; apart from that I have everything myself. (Such as a microphone and the cables to connect with the DJ).
When there is no DJ and I provide my own music, I have to know what type of music installation they have. If there is a DJ, in most cases I just align with the DJ upfront.

Candy Dulfer, a Dutch saxophonist, is amazing! She let me on stage with her when I was really young, so that was a fantastic experience!
I normally arrive 1 hours before the performance to set up (but I'd really only need 15 minutes for that). I usually perform during 2 x 45 minutes or 3 x 30 minute sets. Although on weddings I wouldn't set fixed time windows as I love feeling the crowd and let the dj work towards a climax and then play. I would make sure that my play adds up to 1,5 hours in total over an evening.
