Galya Sky is a Lithuanian cellist with Bachelor's degree in Classical Music and Master's degree in New Audiences Innovative Practices (Music) where she received education in Jazz, Rock, Metal, Folk and Improvisation. Galya is an active member of StageStrings quartet, Duo with a Saxophonist, TRIMALIS trio, cello duo, Baltic Folk ensemble, vocal quartet, bigbands and various other projects as well as solo performances where she plays both on acoustic cello and electric cello with pedals and live electronics. Galya Sky's goal is to connect and use her cello as a tool to translate any given idea into music, to encourage, empower and create a magical moment with music. Besides cello, Galya can also play piano and sing.
