About / Biography

Want live music but don't quite need (or have the budget for) a full band?
Switching between keyboard, vocals, trumpet, guitar, ukulele, harmonica, etc... I can bring the same sound and energy in a smaller, cost effective package.
(By the way, I am more than willing to work with you to try to get pricing within your budget!)
With music from jazz standards and the "Great American Songbook" to zydeco to classic rock I provide music and entertainment that's not your typical "band-in-a-box" cover band/solo act. Perfect for receptions, parties and music "on the deck", and always family friendly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Playing the Blues to Bop festival in Lugano Switzerland was definitely a memorable experience. Huge crowds and wonderful musicians from all over the world!

What's your favourite type of event?

I love being able to interact a bit with my audience. Having them close enough to the performance area to talk to them is nice.

I have been performing professionally since I was 17 years old. After High School I pursued a degree in music education which lead to getting involved in theatre. I have been performing ever since!

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

As a trumpet player I hate to be cliche but, Louis Armstrong and Chet Baker have both been great influences on my music over the years along with other greats such as Hugh Masekela, Herb Alpert, etc.

Two hours is usually allowed for setup with an hour for breakdown. Most performances are two to three hours long.

Being a trumpet player I love playing outdoors! Of course, a nice shady spot with access to power is always appreciated.
