The best gig was playing for a wedding in some underground caverns. The acoustics were brilliant and it was very atmospheric.
The best venue was the the budock vean hotel in Cornwall where I was resident guitarist for many years
I particularly enjoy playing at weddings- particularly during the ceremony where the couple has asked me to play one of their favourite songs or pieces of music. This is often a very emotional and moving part of the ceremony
I spent many years perfecting my technique and creating a wide and varied repertoire. I then started performing at weddings and various events, and I have been playing publicly now for at least 15 years
I have been influenced in playing style by the Spanish guitarist Segovia, whose expression and emotional way of playing I always try to emulate. My favourite artists are Bach and David Bowie, and the greatest song of all time is It’s Getting Better by Cass Elliot
Yes. I will take any up to 3 song requests and may need some prior notice in order to learn them if they aren’t already in my repertoire

Very happy to play outside. I have an excellent battery powered amplifier if mains power isn’t available outside
Yes clients definitely have a say. I will tailor my set to include more popular classic songs, or more classical music, depending on the client’s preferences. I will also learn up to 3 songs or pieces of music. This is particularly useful for wedding ceremonies
