Giulio Capurso, self-taught musician from Bologna.
Since 1995 he has been practicing independently the profession of musician.
Since 2015 he has been carrying a unique show around the world; he plays an electric guitar he has designed and built with the help and supervision of the luthier Luca Stanzani, it is a double neck a seven strings, fourteen strings in all.
Play this instrument using two different techniques; tapping and finger-picking.
Simultaneously with the use of this original instrument, he plays a foot drums from five stompbox and assembled following a new logic of use, suggested by a stand of his own invention, which allows you to use two stompboxes with one foot.
The repertoire is composed of jazz and latin jazz standards, born on the piano and reinterpreted in a way truly original, thanks to this unusual instrument.
He has been performing for many years and in all kinds of contexts.
To list just a few: Posidonia Green Festival in Bogliasco ( GE ) 2023, ArgoJazz Festival in Marina di Pisticci (MT) in 2019, at the Premio Tenco of Sanremo in 2018, in the prestigious Ariston theater as a special guest and at the Premo Tenco in Barcelona at Casa degli Italiani, at three editions of the European Posidonia Green Festival, two of which at the Museu Maritim of Barcelona and one in Santa Margherita Ligure, Harlem Jazz Club of Barcelona in 2018, at the Festival Cose di Amilcare in Barcelona, Take Five in Bologna in 2016, Imola jazz festival in 2009, Ferrara buskers festival again in 2009.
