Harpist Lucy Bishop Professional harpist based in Cardiff, bookable for weddings and events

Lucy is a professional harpist providing beautiful music for weddings, events and special occasions.

After graduating with a First Class Honours for a BMus in Music at Bangor University, Lucy has gone on to continue her studies with a Masters in Harp Performance at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. Lucy has also spent 3 years at the London Royal Academy of Music Junior Department under teacher Miriam Keogh. Here she studied crucial performance skills, including both solo and within ensembles. During this time, Lucy performed regular concerts with the Academy Orchestra including works such as Night on Bald Mountain - Mussorgsky, Die Moldau - Smetana, The Seasons - Glazunov and Swan Lake No. 1 Scene - Tchaikovsky.

Alongside her studies, Lucy has been performing at private and public events for over 6 years. She has been guest harpist for concerts with The Caldicot Male Voice Choir and Royal Naval Association Male Voice Choir, and has also spent the Christmas 2021 season performing at Plas Newydd House and Garden for the National Trust.

Performing from a beautifully designed repertoire full of classical pieces, traditional tunes and well-loved popular music, Lucy is a professional and experienced musician who will create a stunning musical backdrop at your special event.
