Helen comes from a family of pianists and is a classically trained musician herself. With so many returning clients asking for her to return to their venues and events, Helen has a natural warmth, an ability to connect with her audience and sings and plays from the heart.
Her unique blend of relaxed and upbeat popular covers encompasses a modern, refined vibe which is ideal for both background and lounge music, as well as providing a focus of entertainment for an audience to engage with.
With a wealth of experience teaching and performing in different settings and strong musicianship skills of harmony, arranging, sight reading and songwriting, Helen performs in a number of bands offering advanced level backing vocals and piano as well as lead vocals. It is often possible for her to learn bespoke requests, which can be discussed at the time of booking.

I am completely self contained.I bring my own PA system to all gigs. ( Unless there is a piano on site and this has been requested; in this instance I bring a small speaker and mic/mic stand

Some of my best experiences to date have included playing and recording for Channel 4, working at ‘The Botanist’ restaurant/cocktail bar ( as seen on ‘First Dates’). I also recently played a set at Portsmouth Victorious Festival and at a fantastic ‘Later with Jools Holland’ style theatre event.

I have played piano and sung since I was 4 and have also taught music and piano privately and at local schools and colleges. I recently did an acoustic trio with my friends:colleagues of many years from our college job in the music department.
One of my main influences for piano playing and singing, has been Tori Amos. I also love Kate Bush and I love to incorporate her songs into some of my sets.
I normally arrive1- 2 hours before the performance to set up. I normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or can be flexible with 2 x 60 minute sets/ 3 x 45 min sets. I’m happy to play a bit longer or shorter depending on occasion and preference .
Yes this isn’t a problem in warmer months and I would ask for shaded or covered area with a flat surface and near power supply.
Clients are welcome to create a bespoke set list from repertoire list and it is sometimes possible for me to learn a specific song if discussed at time of booking.
