Helestios are a band hailing from across Europe, currently featuring members from Latvia Greece, Poland and the UK. Currently established on the South Coast, they are hard at work building a following in Hampshire and the country. Founding members Henrijs Leja and Stylianos Angelis were joined by bassist Agnis Aldins (eventual producer of their debut album) and drummer Ian Den Boar. With a sound likened to Opeth, Nevermore and Amon Amarth, they forge a path that few have dared to tread seamlessly blending death metal, progressive, doom (and many more besides) elements into a soul-rending sonic slaughter.
Their introduction to the world came in early 2020 with the release of their debut offering: Your Pain Tastes Good. This album has been slowly picking up steam and has earned the band a degree of international recognition from Australia to Latin America, going on to receive a period of radio play in many countries.
Due to the difficulties of distance, the band parted ways with their original bassist and drummers, with a view to forging a path ahead as a live act, further defining their sound and building a strong fanbase in the south. Despite this adversity Helestios forged ahead with their second official release entitled: Road to Ecstacy in 2023, which went on to rank third on Latin American rock radio station: Estación Rock’s top 100 of 2023. This is a landmark achievement for the band, being their first independently ranked top 5 appearance and earned them further airtime in Venezuela, Brazil, Columbia, Spain, Mexico and Australia!
Having fought through their period of adversity, Helestios now have a renewed vigor and an unassailable drive to pursue their course. With two studio album releases proudly under their belts and a rapidly growing series of events, gigs and festivals across the UK, Helestios are proving themselves to be stronger than ever before. Their unwavering dedication to unique and hard-hitting riffs, driving drums and brutal bass all but guarantees their journey skyward into the annals of metal history.
They stand poised, atop a pile of skulls wielding their sound with an irresistible furor, carving their names in the heart of metal music.

The Hobbit in Southampton was by far the best crowd we've had to date, there was no room to squeeze in by the time we'd finished our set. Incredible crowd, great staff and a really good stage.
We are happy to play at any event, festivals are our favourite though.
All band members have been gigging regularly for the past few years, once we'd realised it was our calling. We've performed all over the south of the UK and as far as Wales
Bands like Decapitated, Slipknot, Pantera, Opeth, Amon Amarth and more! We listen to a wide variety of music, from blues to extreme metal and all have different favourite songs.
We can perform a 45-60 minute set of all original music. Load-in time of about 10 minutes and a setup time of about 30 minutes (less if there is backline already set up)
Yes, provided we can have our equipment protected from rain, have shade to perform in and readily accessible power
We are an all-originals band but we can perform and of the songs that we've released. Generally we would prefer to provide the set list but we are always open to discussion.
Tight, professional and crowd-pleasing!
