Founded by ex-Alvin Stardust guitarist Stu Barbour, The Highway Sun is a high-energy country band bringing the best of modern and classic country hits to every event. With a repertoire packed full of crowd-pleasing favourites, including legendary artists like Keith Urban, Luke Combs, Tracy Byrd, The Eagles, Billy Ray Cyrus, Chris Stapleton, Tyler Hubbard, The Mavericks, Glen Campbell, Dolly Parton, and many more.
Our mission? To keep the dance floor filled all night! Whether it’s a honky-tonk party, a wedding celebration, or a festival crowd, we bring the authentic sound of country music with tight harmonies, great musicianship, and an electric atmosphere.

We need four parking space, a good sized are for a whole band and electric sockets.
Any special requirements ie is there a sound limiter at the venue, is it easy to load the equipment in to where we are setting up.
We supply our own PA and lights.
We can play a Spotify playlist before and between sets.
We use a Bose PA system so that the sound is clear and not loud. We are aware that although people are dancing, there are still others who like sit and be able to chat at events.
The best gig was in a barn that had been completely turned into a saloon. All the guests were in traditional cowboy outfits that included replica guns and rifles. It was quite a night.
Themed parties and barn dances work well with country music, people really get into it. We can also supply a country-themed photo frame for people to take pics in.
We have all being playing professionally for many years. We have all worked with many artists both live and in the studio. Between us we have performed at thousands of events and concerts over the years.
We are influenced by people like Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton and The Eagles.

Minimum of 1 hour to set up.
We play 2 sets of 1 hour each.
Yes as long as we have something to keep off grass (it causes dampness :)
We have 250 songs in our set list so clients can let us know in advance if there is a particular song from the list that they want us to play. If the client would like a song that is not on the list then we can learn that for a charge of £30.
recent review - I thoroughly recommend you consider this band. They kept my guests dancing/singing all evening. The members are all extremely talented and experienced musicians who deliver a quality performance of all those popular songs. Great pre-booking communication, punctuality, no fuss set up and pack up.
