Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

1 Outlet and a min 6x8 space. Out door must be undercover and not direct sunlight. 1 place to park.

What information do you require about a venue?

Directions, parking, where to load in equipment. Set up time.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes I have 3 PA's from very small to a larger system for a big area. I can provide lighting for myself and some ambient dance floor lighting.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I am able to play music from Spotify before, after and between sets. I'm happy to choose the music or let the client choose the music.

What kind of sound system do you bring?

I have 3 PA's from very small and quiet to a larger PA for big areas. I listen for feedback and happy to adjust volume. My rule of thumb is to watch people talking if they are leaning into each other to hear, then I immediately turn down.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Best gigs were as my brother's keyboard player when he had a Nashville recording contract and radio play and we would do concerts.

What's your favourite type of event?

I love a place that has a nice chill vibe that I can just relax into. That said though I can be laid back or Up Tempo and play to whatever audience and what type of music they want.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I first played professionally in my brother's bands as he was 12 years older than me and got me my start. From age 18 on I became a full-time musician and traveled playing over 300 dates a year all over the western United States and Alaska. I have worked in many venues from a rock bar to a dance club to a casino cabaret to a lot of resorts and high-end hotel lounges.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt. Any song by those 3 acts. Although it sounds out of the mix from the above but I think Sweet Child of Mine by Guns n' Roses was one of the greatest written songs.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I have a 30 to 45 minute set up as a solo act. I play the first set an hour then a 15 minute break and then 45 minutes sets after that. I prefer 2 set gigs but can do 3.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Outside can be lovely as long as it's not blistering hot and I'm in direct sunlight.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I'm happy to learn up to 5 songs in advance for a special occasion. I have a huge repertoire to pull from and can usually blend it to fit whatever audience or ages that I am playing for.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

That I have a great sense of humor and I smile a lot. Biggest compliment I get is my skill on keyboards and that I have a very sultry voice.

What is your best feature as a performer?

Great attitude, smile a lot and truly have fun.

How do you work with a client?

I have great communication and go over all the details of your event and work closely to make sure I am the best fit so that I may do the best job.

Dress code?

I personally always dress up probably fancier than need be.. Its showbiz! But I do check with the venue and get the details what exactly is the appropriate dress code for the event.
