House of Monkeys is a collective of musicians whose experience and talent belie their young years.
House of Monkeys have a jazzy, funky, bluesy infused sound and can transport you to any era from the 1920s to today!
Equally at home playing rock, pop, funk, soul, blues and jazz, the band have a flexible line-up and sound which can be tailored to your event from duo to full band (with or without sax/ horns). We have a wide repertoire and will happily tailor the song list to your requirements and make it perfect for your special day.
At 18 and 19, the band have a collective depth of experience across a wide range of genres including jazz, classical, musical theatre, rock, folk music, opera and more.
Band members have years of experience under their belt playing in some of NSW's leading youth ensembles including Sydney Youth Orchestra, Sydney Youth Jazz Orchestra, NSW Public Schools Jazz Orchestra as well as Opera Australia (children's chorus) and had leading roles in Performing Arts School and Interschool musicals including Sweeney Todd, and School of Rock
