Inertia has gone through many versions since its beginnings as a cover band at local bars and a fish and chips restaurant. Largely, Inertia has remained steadfast as an acoustic setup and even though the members have changed, two of the founders are still performing together. Izaar, the singer, who also sings for Singapore's premier Reggae band, Bushmen, has a gutteral, husky vocal tone that immediately stands out against the lush acoustic sounds and fiery solos by Boon, the lead guitarist.
Their repertoire is vast and varied, ranging from the 50s to present, from Rock to Reggae, RnB to Pop and also a bit of Dance music done on acoustic. What matters most is that when you sit and watch us, you are not expected to just clap politely. Immerse yourself in a rowdy pub sing-along atmosphere!
We are an acoustic duo needing 2 channels for vocals and 2 channels for guitars on the mixer. 2 power sockets, 2 bar stools and 2 lyric stands.
We will require parking lots for 2 vehicles. Hotel ballroom events do require a slightly more extensive sound system to fit a larger area arena. Feel free to message us and enquire!
We can arrange for a sound system setup along with a soundman to man the sound board. Charges may vary according to event requirements and location.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
We performed during the 2014 Rugby Sevens at the newly opened National Stadium at the VIP lounge. Feels amazing to be one of the first performers at this brand new location and at such a prestigious event.
