“ISHKA the band” has been performing for around 10 years. We named the band ISHKA during a drought. Shortly after the naming THE RAIN CAME so we thought ‘well this is a good name’ (the name means water in Irish Gaelic spelt “Uisce Beatha” (water of life)
Bernadette Gill
Australian (Irish & Scottish heritage) (Lead Singer-guitarist- songwriter). Bernadette travelled the international circuit and also performed for the troops during the Vietnam War Reglections Album original work relates to that period. Her long list of entrepreneurial expertise includes: Tourist Industry, Restaurateur, Promoter of Events and more.
Brendan Williams
Irish, originally from Dublin – Multi-Instrumentalist plays Fiddle, Tin Whistle, Highland Bagpipes, Concertina and Banjo to mention a few. He has played in Pipe Bands and Symphony Orchestras. He is dedicated to the continuation of the traditional Celtic Music but excels in many styles of music.
