About / Biography

Established professional up beat duo. Experienced and entertaining cover duo with guitar, vocals and violin. Requests available in advance, specialising in folk, country, bluegrass. Traditional popular and blues repertoire. Well known classics including devil went down to Georgia, Irish reels, music from the beatles, Paul Simon, the Eagles and many more.

Own pa equipment, available for weddings, functions, private parties, music venues, pubs, festivals. Past events include Holmfirth Folk festival, Alpaca rocks Festival, camping and caravan club festivals, Huddersfield live festival, Linthwaite leadboiler fest, Marsden Jazz fest, supporting act at Holmfirth Picturedrome and deadbeat jazz at Northern quarter Huddersfield. Regular performers at night market food festival in Huddersfield, Dubliner Bradford, Sair inn Linthwaite, Postcard Holmfirth, Rat and aratchet Huddersfield and lots more.

The band started only a year ago but we have progressed in our venture rapidly. We have established ourselves as respected musicians who can be reliable, entertaining and versatile to all venues and audiences.

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Holmfirth picturedrome this Sunday
Linthwaite Leadboiler festival last year was immense. Packed out audience and great to showcase ourselves so early on in our venture.

Northernquarter supporting deadbeat brass was amazing. We totally engaged with the crowd and got so many further work


What's your favourite type of event?

We love it all. From smaller private parties to packed out pubs. Outdoor festivals . We always get the crowd involved and out of their seats


What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I am a classically trained violinist to masters level. We started gigging just over a year ago with open mic events locally. We quickly moved onto local paid gigs and have now performed at over 100 audiences over West Yorkshire. These include a wide variety of performances from private events to local festivals and functions here there and everywhere


Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We are influenced by Paul Simon, Billy Strings, bob Dylan, bob marley sting, the beatles, the Eagles, so many to mention. Devil went down to Georgia is a crowd pleaser which we usually finish with and can be seen on our Facebook page along with other videos and performances

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We set up usually 30 min early. We can provide standard 2x45 min sets or 60 min performance. We are versatile in this area and adjust our fee accordingly


Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes. Many of our festivals are outdoors but we do require cover just incase weather is bad. We need to obviously protect our instruments and equipment


Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We are happy to receive requests within a reasonable time frame to enable rehearsal time of these
