My name is Nhlanhla Jacob Mahlangu, stage name Jazzman and I am writing to introduce myself as a performer. I am a highly talented and versatile entertainer with 10 years of experience, and I believe I would make a valuable addition to your entertainment roster.
I have been performing for 10 years and have honed my skills in Saxophone performance and singing. I have received extensive training and education in music theory and practical with the University of South Africa and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music. and have had the opportunity to perform at a variety of venues, including weddings, concerts, gala dinners clubs and craft bars which are Sun International Time Square, Shepstone Gardens, The Green Craft, Red Ivory Hartbeespoort, Tilt Resto Bar, Barn @ Redstone Garden, Summer Boutique Hotel, Protea Hotel Fire & Ice Menlyn, Katy's Palace Bar Sandton, Menlyn Boutique Hotel, Ultimate Sky La Perna, Houghton hotel, Riverside Hotel Durban.
I am a natural performer with a passion for entertaining audiences. I am highly adaptable and can perform a wide range of genres, from pop and jazz to classical and musical theater. I am also an excellent communicator, able to engage with audiences of all ages and backgrounds, and to create a memorable and enjoyable experience.
I am offering a 1 hour- 2hour repertoire performance, consisting of 10-20 songs. My performance is suitable for all ages and can be tailored to the specific needs of your cruise ship. I require a PA sound system for my performance, and I am happy to work with your team to ensure that all necessary arrangements are made.

We need a performance space of at least 8 meters x 5 meters. We require 2 x 13 amp power sockets and 3 parking spaces.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.

We started gigging whilst at university and our performances developed from there. Since we started we’ve performed at hundreds of weddings, parties and events across the South Africa and beyond.

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.

No usually the client must have the pa system organised or the is a fee for pa system if it is provided by me.
