What's your favourite type of event?

Weddings, Corporate events, surprise birthdays and Holiday Parties.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I have 20+ years of experience and I started gigging after getting introduced to older musicians who had a weekly gig at a cafe every Sunday. My first real gig was a holiday party for Wired Magazine.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones, Cedar Walton. My favorite artist is Duke Ellington because he elevated the music into a specific art form we know today as Jazz.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

load in 1 hour before performance

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area. Also heat lamps if it is chilly and a tarp /canopy if there is a chance of rain.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We take requests in advance so that we can take the time to learn it if it is a song we don't know or If we already know the tune we'll be happy to play it.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Perfect band for parties that are looking for interesting music to listen to or have in the background to provide a feel good ambiance to any social gathering.
