Originally from the UK working in radio and TV, Jo is now based in Cape Town and is an MC with everything to offer your special occasion, event or fundraiser. Her bright chatty style is flexible for formal or informal events - she has a unique ability to engage the audience at all levels.
Back on the Mic after time out raising family, recent projects have included wedding toastmaster, charity auctions, ladies lunches along with presenting and commentating on the World Beach VolleyBall Elite 16 tournament. Her experience with fashion shows, gala dinners, golf days, product launches and fundraisers of all levels have taken her all over SA with trips overseas also in the diary.

Working at events where your job is for people to have a good time is always a privilege
I love doing ladies lunches - always full of fun and laughter .
Fundraisers are always very rewarding.
Showcases to celebrate local talent are very special to be involved in - I love introducting and working with so many incredible people who don't always get their time to shine.
I started working in Manchester in radio and television when I was a young party girl in Manchester. Live events were a natural extension of the job and when we moved as a family to SA for the FIFA World Cup, I continued doing ad hoc events including gala dinners, golf days and awards nights. I am now based in Cape Town and keen to relaunch my Emcee work.
Gala Dinners, Ladies lunches, Fashion Shows, Awards, Prize Giving, Golf Days, Bingo, Quizzes, Auctions, Car Rallies, Commentating, Voice Overs.... If you have an audience I have the experience to help you create an event they will remember.
Unless the scale of the event requires a rehearsal, I usually arrive an hour or two before the event to run through the schedule and timeline. Ideally I get some background info via email or over a coffee before the date, but full instructions on the night are all I need.
I am on site and fully invested from the start to the end with no time limit.
Yes
Memorable, fun and entertaining.
I will just need the running order and any important info (preferably in bullet point form).
Where appropriate an overview of your organisation and purpose of the event is good to have so I can do my homework to know my audience - for instance, is this the 1st, 5th, 10th year of happening and previous outcomes. Who are your VIPs that might need a little extra attention.
Any do's or don'ts for your audience.
