Jonah's Lift 6+ Wedding/Ceilidh/Party band with Male and Female Vocals

"Jonah's Lift", are an energetic and engaging 6-piece folk-rock/Ceilidh band based in Falmouth who are known for our unusual musical arrangements, humour and ability to get any crowd young or old up and dancing.

Playing a very varied mixture of traditional folk tunes from various corners of the world, a sprinkling of original material, plus some well known covers that have all been given the "Jonah's Lift" treatment, there's nothing we enjoy more than whipping audiences up into a dancing frenzy guaranteed to work up a thirst.

We can however function fully acoustically if necessary

Normally we play 2 x 1 hour sets - however we can also offer our take on a Ceilidh which is not too serious and is a lot of fun. Basically it's the same two sets of music, but we have 3 "called" dances in each set - we've found from experience that that is the best format.

Depending on the willingness (or otherwise!) of the guests to participate that tends to stretch the time to approximately 1.25 hours per set. It's a very popular option when we do weddings and is a great way of getting the guests to mix. There's no additional charge for this option and so it's a decision you could make nearer the time.
